Lotus Divine
Lord Vishnu is often referred as Kamala_nayana or Kamala_lochana, which means Lord VishnuтАЩs eyes are as beautiful as Lotus flower(Kamala means lotus flower).
A Lotus flower or тАЬPadma" , held by the lower right hand, represents spiritual liberation, Divine perfection, purity and the unfolding of Spiritual consciousness within the individual.
Vishnu is often described as the "Lotus-Eyed One" (Pundarikaksha)
The lotus in Lord Vishnu's hand is also a symbol of creation. The energy which emanates from Vishnu's navel, that is from the Para mode of speech is depicted as a lotus.

The Lotus even though grows in the mud, it never loses its divinity and purity. The Lotus teaches us about beauty and non attachment.
One who performs his duty without attachment, surrendering the results unto the Supreme Lord, is unaffected by sinful action, as the lotus is untouched by water.
тАФ Bhagavad Gita 5.10:
The Lotus is a symbol of creation. The energy which emanates from VishnuтАЩs navel, from which Lord Brahma is born, this energy of creation is not derived from Vishnu alone but from the union of Vishnu and Lakshmi. Vishnu is also named as Padmanabh, due to the Lotus (Padma) which springs from the navel( Nabhi).
The Lord's divine body parts are compared with the lotus flower. The heart of His pure devotees are also compared to the lotus flower due to their softness.
